In the first half of 2024, there was a 2.5% increase in the value of dairy product imports, reaching a total of US$ 241.5 million, with a 7.2% increase in volume to 62,179 tons. Argentina was the primary supplier, followed by the United States, Germany, and Mexico. The imports were led by cheese, but there was a decrease in the import value of serums and other dairy products. There was also a significant increase in imports of children's food preparations.
