Egypt's state agency, GASC, purchased sunflower oil at a lower price and soybean oil at a higher price than the previous tender due to global market conditions. The international tender received offers for the supply of sunflower and soybean oil, and GASC purchased 18,000 tonnes of vegetable oil for delivery in July and August, including 12,000 tonnes of soybean oil and 6,000 tonnes of sunflower oil. Meanwhile, Egypt's palm oil imports are expected to decline by 10% in 2023, reaching 1 million tons.
