(Agraria.pe) Peruvian lucuma exports experienced a significant decline during the period from January to December 2025. According to data analyzed by market analyst Heber Chávez, the total exported reached 517.8 tons, representing a decrease of 26.2% compared to the same period of the previous year. This contraction is attributed to the uncertainty in major international markets, affecting the demand for this emblematic fruit. Despite the decline, lucuma managed to reach 25 international destinations, which shows a diversification of markets. However, the concentration remains high in countries like Chile, which absorbed 36.8% of exports, followed by the United States with 35.6%. The rest of the countries accounted for 27.5% of the total exported. In the analyzed period, a total of 91 Peruvian companies participated in the export of lucuma.
