The retail price of grade A, B, and C chicken eggs in East Malaysia has decreased by three cents per egg, effective yesterday, with new prices set at 42 sen, 40 sen, and 38 sen respectively. This price reduction aims to alleviate the financial burden on residents, particularly the B40 group, and stabilize the cost of other basic necessities. The move has been positively received by various stakeholders, including the Malaysian National Consumer Foundation and the Sarawak Consumer Voice Association, who believe it will enhance daily living costs and purchasing power.
