The Export Council for Food Industries of Egypt is planning to conduct a quarterly trade mission to African countries such as Madagascar, Kenya, Mauritius, Senegal, Ghana, Morocco, and Algeria, as part of its strategy to boost exports. The Council has already successfully organized trade missions to Uganda and Tanzania. It also aims to increase exports to the Chinese market, particularly in the frozen sector of agricultural origin. Despite the pandemic, the food industry exports to China have seen a significant increase of about 55 million dollars in the first 8 months of this year, reaching 88 million dollars.
