Morocco: Exports of fresh raspberries to UK market up 40x

Morocco, leader in fresh raspberry exports to the United Kingdom! Morocco is now at the top of the list of the biggest exporters of fresh raspberries to the UK. According to a report by EastFruit, Moroccan exporters have seen dramatic growth in their raspberry exports to the UK market. Over the past three years, exports of fresh raspberries from Morocco have increased 40 times, reaching an impressive total of 15,800 tons in the 2022/23 campaign (July to June). These figures generated revenues of around 862 million dirhams (86 million dollars) for Morocco and gave the country the status of the first supplier of fresh raspberries on the British market. Until recently, Moroccan raspberries were scarce in the UK, with zero exports in the 2017/18 campaign. However, the situation changed after Brexit, with UK importers actively seeking new suppliers.
