Turkey is the global leader in the production and export of dried apricots, dried figs, and raisins, accounting for 16% of the world's dried fruit production. It has exceeded 132.3 million dollars in exports to Germany alone in 2021. The Online Dried Fruit Meeting, organized by the Aegean Dried Fruits and Products Exporters' Association and Waren-Verein der Hamburger Börse, discussed the industry's opportunities and challenges. The meeting highlighted the need for sustainable production and export growth, improving the value chain, increasing organic production, and overcoming future hurdles. Both countries share a commitment to sustainable and efficient practices, aiming to strengthen their relationship and ensure a sustainable future in the dried fruit trade.
