The Portuguese Minister of Agriculture, Maria do Céu Antunes, has announced a new support fund of 40 million euros to aid the wine sector in product transformation and marketing, with the goal of reaching one billion euros in exports by 2023. This initiative is part of an open notice for agricultural product investment that has been ongoing since 2018. Additionally, the minister revealed a 50 million euros allocation for the "Vitis" program, aimed at vineyard conversion for 2022. During a visit to Adega de Cantanhede, she also shared plans to sell warehouses owned by the Institute of Vine and Wine to the winery, subject to necessary authorizations.
