The Krasnodar Territory in Russia saw a decrease of 11.9% in its rice harvest in 2021, resulting in a total of 746 thousand tons. Despite this, the region experienced a significant increase in the harvest of cereals and legumes, with a total of 14.79 million tons, which is 22% more than the previous year. There was also an increase in the harvest of wheat, barley, corn, beets, sunflowers, and potatoes. In 2022, the region plans to increase the area for rice harvest by 4.3% to 120 thousand hectares.
