Gyeongsang National University's College of Ocean Science announced that from June 15th, it conducted a 14-day training program for 'Capacity Building of Fisheries Aquaculture and Processing Professionals in the Caribbean' with support from the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and Gyeongnam Province. This training was part of KOICA's global research project aimed at strengthening human resource capabilities in developing countries, with 9 government officials selected from Caribbean coastal countries including the Dominican Republic, Belize, Panama, Colombia, and Honduras participating. Caribbean coastal countries are regions with abundant marine biological resources and rapidly growing aquaculture and processing industries that have recently been interested in Korea's advanced fisheries technology.
