Harvesting has begun in the province of Tescilli Ordu: Contribution of 520 million TL to the province's economy

In Ordu, the harvest of the registered Ordu kiwi, which provides significant income to producers after hazelnuts, has begun. It is targeted for the kiwi to contribute approximately 520 million TL to the provincial economy. The kiwi harvest began in the garden of producer İbrahim Yeşilyurt in Turnasuyu Mahallesi of Gülyalı district. Participating in the harvest program, Ordu Governor Muammer Erol recalled that the Ordu kiwi received a geographical indication in 2019 through the initiatives of the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, stating, "Our producers must harvest their kiwis when they have reached full maturity to protect the market value of Ordu Kiwi and avoid damaging its brand value.
