Poland: Mushroom prices reach even PLN 100 / kg

The first fresh mushrooms appear this year, but whoever dreams of chanterelle sauce must reach deep into the wallet. The prices are high - according to Fakt.pl. At marketplaces, they cost from PLN 70 to even PLN 100 per kilogram! When it comes to online classifieds, the prices are a tad lower. An example from the vicinity of Aleksandrów Łódzki. There you have to pay 70 zlotys for a kilo of chanterelles. 20 zlotys cheaper, i.e. 50 zlotys, you can buy chanterelles from Borów (Pomorskie Voivodeship) or Suwałki (Podlaskie Voivodeship).
The cheapest sales offers come from the vicinity of Białystok (Podlaskie Voivodeship), Bielsko-Biała and Żywiec (Śląskie Voivodeship). It's about a kilo of chanterelles ...
