The tallow market is experiencing a surge in demand due to the high price of soybean oil, with beef tallow being used for biodiesel production. Additionally, the demand for animal fat in the hygiene and cleaning sector is also contributing to positive price adjustments. According to a Scot Consultoria survey, animal fat is quoted at an average of R $ 4.49/kg in Rio Grande do Sul, marking a 3.0% increase from the previous week. In Central Brazil, tallow is quoted at an average of R $ 4.34/kg, up 5.1% in the same time period. It is anticipated that the market will continue to see firm prices due to the growing demand.
