Cepea surveys show that, for the first time since the avian flu episode in a commercial farm in Brazil in May, average prices for chicken meat are advancing compared to the previous month. According to the Research Center, in the partial data for September (up to the 24th), frozen chicken is being traded in the wholesale market of Greater São Paulo at an average of R$ 7.40/kg, 6.3% higher than in August, but still below the R$ 8.60/kg in May/25.
