The Covid-19 pandemic has had a positive impact on honey production in Colima, Mexico, with the industry projected to produce 50 tons this year, up from previous years' production of 20 tons. The reduction in field activity and decreased use of insecticides due to the pandemic have allowed for natural recovery, leading to increased honey production. Additionally, demand for honey and propolis, a bee product used for health and as a COVID-19 remedy, has increased during the pandemic. However, beekeepers are facing economic challenges due to the pandemic.
