From January to April 2021, Turkey experienced a significant boost in honey exports, with a 24% increase in quantity and a 6% increase in value compared to the same period in the previous year. The total export weight reached 2,502 tons, generating revenue of $9.54 million. The United States, Germany, and Kuwait were the top buyers, with America's purchase of 707 tons being the largest. Other countries like Belgium, Bulgaria, and Dubai also started importing Turkish honey. The TR90 region, which includes Trabzon, Ordu, Giresun, Gümüşhane, Rize, and Artvin, saw a 103% increase in honey exports to Germany, contributing $259,370 to the region's economy. Bahrain showed the most significant growth in imports, with a 439% increase compared to last year.
