In Moldova, peach prices are maintained due to sales to canning factories and a slight increase in exports

At the end of August this year, the average level of wholesale prices for peach was set at 10 lei/kg ($0.52/kg). It is curious that, judging by the EastFruit monitoring data, at this point during this period, the lines of price charts converge for three of the last four years (only in 2020, the average price for a peach in the national currency was slightly lower - 9 lei / kg). In dollar terms, the situation is different - due to the devaluation of the leu in 2022, the price of peach is $0.02-0.04/kg below the average level for the mentioned period. Nevertheless, specialists of agricultural producers' organizations believe that in the current season "the situation is not developing in the worst way."
