A new government program in Romania, approved by the EC under the 2022 subsidy framework, will provide direct subsidies to eligible beneficiaries, including farmers, to offset costs related to increased fuel, energy, and animal feed prices. The program aims to help farmers overcome financial challenges due to the geopolitical crisis, with each beneficiary receiving no more than 250,000 euros. The funds must be distributed by the Romanian government by December 31, 2023.
