Last month, 20 countries reported a total of 144 new cases of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) to the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE). The number of cases and participating countries decreased overall, but some individual states still experienced an increase in cases. Germany had the highest number of outbreaks with 18, followed by the UK with 13, and France with 10. Other affected countries included Argentina, Bolivia, Uruguay, Peru, the United States, Canada, Israel, Taiwan, and Nigeria.
