Turkish Consul General to Turkestan Levent Gurcan, Alarko Holding Group President Izet Garih, and officials from the Shymkent city government attended the event.

In his speech, Saparbayev pointed out that Turkey is an important partner for Kazakhstan in the field of agricultural and industrial complexes. Currently, the two sides are cooperating with Turkish investors to implement 14 projects, with a total value of $1.1 billion. He stated that, following the directives of the national leaders, Kazakhstan has created the necessary conditions to attract investment in the agricultural and industrial complexes. The completion of this project is the result of effective collaboration between the government and enterprises, and it also reflects the investors' trust in Kazakhstan's economy and their confidence in sustainable development.

He emphasized that such cooperation not only brings opportunities for experience exchange and technology introduction but also will drive the growth of agricultural trade. He believes that through joint efforts, the food security levels of both countries will be improved, and the competitiveness of agricultural products will be further enhanced.

On the same day, the first phase of the project construction area harvested its first batch of tomato products.

It is worth mentioning that this large-scale project, with a total investment of $650 million, was launched last summer. The complex is designed to have an annual production capacity of 155,000 tons, covering a total area of 650 hectares, with the first phase occupying 208 hectares.

According to the plan, 40 hectares will be put into operation by the end of this year, which will further increase the output and promote the supply of fresh vegetables to the domestic market. After the first phase is fully operational, it is expected to provide 2,000 jobs, and the total number of jobs will increase to 5,000 once the entire project is completed.

Another important component of the project is the construction of an agricultural center equipped with a laboratory meeting international standards, which will be used to train professional talents in the field of agriculture.

Currently, the total greenhouse area in Kazakhstan is about 1,300 hectares, producing 200,000 tons of vegetables annually. After the "ALSERA KZ" greenhouse complex is put into operation, it will significantly increase the national greenhouse product output, helping to enhance food security and reduce seasonal import dependence.

According to previous reports, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev gave a series of directives to improve industry efficiency and strengthen national food security when he received Agriculture Minister Saparbayev on the 19th.
