South Korea's KOICA completes construction of Chamkomak production complex in the Philippines

The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) cooperated with a domestic company to complete the production complex of Chamkomak in the Philippines. KOICA announced on the 17th that it completed the construction of a cockle nursery and fish processing facility in Kalibo, Aklan, in the central Philippines, in collaboration with SK C&S and GM Fisheries, which are domestic trading companies. The nursery is 1450 square meters. It is equipped with a microalgae production system supplied according to the growth stage of young cockles, a seawater filtering and disinfection system, a laboratory, an egg-laying room, an insemination room, and a breeding room. It is possible to stably produce 40 million cockle larvae per year here. The fish processing facility has two floors above the ground and a total floor area of 2,500 square meters.
