South Korea's instant noodle exports, or ramyun, have seen a significant increase of 31.7% in the first eight months of the year, reaching $800 million. This growth is evident across various export destinations, with China and the United States experiencing a 26.9% and 61.5% rise in imports respectively. Other European countries such as the Netherlands, Britain, and Germany have also increased their imports. In response to this demand, major ramyun companies like Nongshim and Samyang Foods are planning to expand their overseas presence, particularly in the United States and Europe, with Nongshim setting up a sales unit in Europe and Samyang building a new factory for exports.
