One of Australia's most significant peanut farming operations is on the market after generations of Rackemann family ownership. The large scale 473 hectares (1169 acres) Rackway Farms is located in the favoured Coalstoun Lakes district and is presented in 10 lots across four farms. The highly sought after country is famed for its high performance, deep, red volcanic soils. Rackway Farms sits in the heart of the Coalstoun Lakes district between Bundaberg and Kingaroy, and has 438ha (1082 acres) of arable land. Peanuts form Rackway's core enterprise backed by a strategically managed cropping rotation including grains, millet, sorghum, barley, oats, hay and sunflowers. Recent production has focused on big pink and kairi varieties, with the high-quality nut-in-shell harvest delivered to established commercial clients.
