The Malaysian Palm Oil Producers Council (MPOC) recently organized the first trade and business visit in 2023 to Almaty (Kazakhstan) and Tashkent (Uzbekistan). With Malaysian palm oil consumption on the rise, the MROS provided an opportunity for the industry to explore new avenues to expand ties and increase palm oil consumption in Central Asian regions. Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan were visited by 11 representatives of seven Malaysian palm oil companies. MROS led a delegation that visited two industrial enterprises in Almaty and four in Tashkent. These meetings were organized by MPOC to establish contacts with current and potential buyers of Malaysian palm oil in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. This series of meetings helped to successfully solve the problem of communication between the Malaysian players in the palm oil industry and Central Asian consumer companies.
