The Malaysian government has discontinued the public wheat flour subsidy for this year due to inability of manufacturers to meet the controlled price of RM1.45 per kilogramme. The government is now implementing a retargeted subsidy for a specific target group of eligible citizens, and is also regulating the price of diesel through the Subsidized Diesel Control System (SKDS 2.0). Additionally, the government has prohibited the sale of RON95 petrol to vehicles with foreign license plates in all national petrol stations.
