The article introduces the completion of the 'Remkes Ladder' with the launch of the National Relocation Scheme for Livestock Farms with Peak Loads (Lvvp) and the Subsidy Module for Source-Oriented Sustainability of Stable and Management Measures (Sbv). This subsidy is designed to encourage livestock farmers to reduce nitrogen emissions, offering up to 80% coverage for investment costs, with a total budget of €60 million. Eligible farmers include dairy, pig, and veal calf farmers located in Natura 2000 areas with high nitrogen deposition. The subsidy has specific requirements, such as limiting animal numbers and investing in certain equipment, and opens on October 21, 2024, only for new, non-second-hand equipment.
