The Ministry of the Interior in Vietnam has established the Vietnam Fish Sauce Association (VAFS), boasting 85 business and 200 individual members that control approximately 70% of the entire fish sauce industry. The association's mission is to protect the industry's legitimate interests, develop product standards, and foster scientific research to enhance productivity and global promotion of the traditional Vietnamese product. With a production capacity of approximately 250 million liters per year, the industry has a current valuation of around 6,000 billion per year, witnessing an average annual growth of 13.25% over the past decade. The industry includes 783 production facilities and 1,500 household participants, with notable brands contributing to both domestic and international markets.
