Mila Marcos warns that the trade agreement with Morocco "violates the European rule of law"

The spokesperson for the PP in the Joint Committee of Congress for the European Union, Milagros Marcos, warns that something "suspicious" is happening between Spain and Morocco, due to the efforts being made by the Sánchez Government to meet the demands of the Moroccans in immigration, energy, or trade relations. "These demands go beyond anything reasonable and against the interests of Spain," denounces the deputy from Palencia, who recalls that, in addition, they have led the European Commission to face a question of legality, justice, and defense of the interests of Europe. In this sense, the popular spokesperson warns that the EU cannot afford to disregard its own rulings and insists that the Court of Justice of the European Union was clear in establishing that Western Sahara has a separate and distinct legal status from Morocco and that any agreement affecting that territory requires the consent of the Sahrawi people.
