The Association of Beer, Malt and Beverage Producers (APB) is calling for comprehensive support to boost hop cultivation and solve the personnel shortage issue. Chuvashia has a strategy to increase its hop harvest to 3.7 thousand tons by 2035, with subsidies for hop planting and care. The Baltika brewing company is set to finance genetic research on hop varieties grown in Chuvashia, as part of a two-year scientific and technological support program.
