The Bono Regional Director of the Ministry of Food and Agriculture, Dennis Abugri Amenga, has urged tomato growers to try out new varieties of tomatoes, 'raja and cobra', introduced by the Crop Research Institute. These varieties are known for their high yields, excellent matter content, and high export demand. He also urged vegetable farmers to stick to spraying schedules to protect their farms from insects and pest infestation. Interested farmers have been advised to contact the district and municipal offices of MoFA in the region.
