A chartered plane has transported over 1,700 'Saineng' breeding sheep to Yinchuan Hedong International Airport, marking the first batch of a shipment of 3,000 animals intended for breeding. The sheep are currently being quarantined for 45 days at a facility in Lingwu City, after which they will be assessed for release. In preparation for the shipment, Yinchuan Customs has established a veterinary working group to ensure epidemic prevention and have implemented measures to facilitate the entry of the breeding stock. This initiative is part of a larger strategy to revitalize the national seed industry, with a focus on importing high-quality breeding stock and supporting the agricultural sector in Ningxia.
