The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) made available this Tuesday (23), on the Agro Brazil + Sustainable Platform, the service for enabling Export Production Area. The functionality allows the rural producer to automatically verify if the productive area meets the requirements required by international markets that impose socio-environmental compliance barriers. According to Mapa, the service allows the producer to "automatically validate if the production area meets critical requirements for export to foreign markets." The initiative seeks to increase transparency and traceability of information related to Brazilian agribusiness production. The Agro Brazil + Sustainable Platform aims to "integrate, organize, and make available environmental, social, and corporate governance information" from rural producers, agricultural companies, and properties, qualifying products destined for the foreign market based on internationally recognized criteria.
