The Moon Jae-in administration's agricultural policy over the past four years has focused on public interest in agriculture, stabilizing farmers' income, preventing livestock diseases, fostering smart agriculture, and strengthening the export of agricultural food products. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic and non-tariff barriers, agricultural exports hit a record $7.57 billion in 2020. The government has also increased its financial support for agricultural development in underdeveloped countries, becoming a major donor to the World Food Program and the Food Assistance Convention. This has led to an increase in Korea's humanitarian aid scale and its international standing as a donor nation.
