Dutch onion exports have seen a decrease of nearly 7,000 tons compared to the same period last year, totaling 689,000 tons up to week 49. Despite a strong start, exports have declined in recent weeks. The only exception is Senegal, which has significantly increased its onion imports from the Netherlands by nearly 6,000 tons. However, there has been a decrease in onion exports to Belgium, Sweden, the Dominican Republic, and to a lesser extent, Senegal. On the other hand, the Ivory Coast, Great Britain, Mali, Guinea, and Nicaragua have increased their imports of Dutch onions.
