The European Commission (EC) presented a new agricultural plan that has caused serious tension both in the sector and among a large part of European ministers. Radostina Zhekova, president of the Dobrudja Grain Producers' Union, described the proposals as unacceptable and dangerous for the future of European production. "The plan was not liked by anyone in the agricultural guild. The good news is that a large part of the ministers did not like it either," she stated. According to Zhekova, European institutions must take into account the strong public and sector pressure. "I strongly hope that the European government will comply. A series of protests has passed and a rather large protest by Copa&Cogeca is coming. They should hear that what they are currently accepting will not work for the 'Agriculture' sector in Europe," she added.
