On April 7, 2024, global pepper prices were reported to be stable, with no significant fluctuations observed from the previous day. Prices in Indonesia, Malaysia, Brazil, and Vietnam remained consistent, with Indonesia's Lampung black pepper and Muntok white pepper priced at 4,463 USD/ton and 6,179 USD/ton, respectively. Malaysia and Brazil also reported stable prices for their pepper varieties. Vietnam's black and white pepper prices were noted at 4,200 USD/ton and 6,000 USD/ton, respectively, with domestic prices peaking at 94,000 VND/kg. The Vietnam Pepper and Spice Association highlighted that Vietnam's pepper exports in March 2024 saw an increase in volume and turnover from February, despite a decrease from the previous year, with the US continuing as the primary export market.
