Peru's avocado exports in 2021 saw a significant increase, reaching 526,000 tons valued at $1.05 billion, a 28% and 30% rise from the previous year. The Netherlands, the USA, Spain, Chile, Great Britain, China, and Russia were the top importers. The supply is projected to grow by 20% in 2022, reaching 600,000 tons. The growth in exports is attributed to the cultivation of new plantations. Russian imports of Peruvian avocados have also been on a consistent rise, with a noticeable increase in volume each year.
