Since the beginning of the year, China has seen a surge in meat, beef, and sheep production, with beef output increasing by 3.6% and mutton by 1.5% in the first three quarters. The stock of these meats has also risen, with a 9.7% increase in newborn calves and a 1.8% increase in newborn lambs. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs is implementing a five-year action plan to further boost production and development of meat, beef, and sheep. The plan includes strategies such as integrated development of cattle, sheep, grassland, and livestock, infrastructure support, breed improvement, and the establishment of national-level standardized demonstration farms. Financial funds are also being coordinated to promote the development of the beef and milk cattle industry.
