Turkey: Poppy harvest continues in Afyonkarahisar

While the poppy harvest, which started recently in Sandıklı and Kızılören districts of Afyonkarahisar, continues, a yield of 1,400 tons is expected in these two districts this season. The harvest season continues for poppy, which is one of the most important agricultural products of Afyonkarahisar. The poppies, which started to be planted in Sandıklı and Kızılören district center and villages in November, started to be harvested in early July.
