Russia has experienced a significant increase in potato imports from its friendly countries such as Armenia, China, and Belarus, with Armenia leading the pack by more than seven times, China by over three times, and Belarus by 60.8% since the start of 2024. Despite these increases, the total import volume has decreased by 7.9% compared to the same period in 2023, amounting to 395.5 thousand tons. The main potato suppliers to Russia have been Belarus, Egypt, Azerbaijan, China, and Armenia.
