A report from the Primorsky Interregional Department of Rosselkhoznadzor in Russia has found Escherichia coli bacteria in a batch of fish meant for export to China. The bacteria were detected during quality and safety control tests, and the violation may be due to non-compliance with production or storage technology, or transportation conditions. The laboratory tests 26 indicators, including toxic elements and microbiological indicators, and the presence of E. coli bacteria is a mandatory condition for export products from China. The department is preparing a report for the product owner and the product will be removed from circulation. Since 2022, the Primorsky Interregional Veterinary Laboratory has identified 93 positive results for such violations.
