Pakistani farmers have cultivated one of the largest mandarin crops on record this year, with exports expected to generate at least $200 million. The agricultural producers' association highlighted that the tangerines are grown on specially prepared lands with superior soil conditions for optimal taste. However, the fruits are treated with chemicals and wax coated with antifungal drugs before export, necessitating thorough washing before consumption. Adnan Shahzad, a representative of an agricultural export company, mentioned that Pakistan's tangerines are exported to over 60 countries, with Russia, Canada, the UK, and several Asian countries being the main recipients.
