Spain: Researchers from CITA of Aragon delve into Italy in the cultivation, conservation and processing of truffles

From July 14 to August 14, researchers from CITA in Aragon carry out a research stay in Italy within the activities of the European project Horizon 2020 INTACT, which is entitled "Innovation in the cultivation, conservation and processing of truffle resources wild”. The stay is carried out at the Study University of Perugia, in collaboration with the Italian Confederation of Farmers (CIA) and the Italian National Research Council (CNR). The researchers are Pedro Marco, Sergi García and Sergio Sánchez. On July 18, the researcher Sergi García gave a seminar on "Agroclimatic characterization of Spanish black truffle-producing forests and the implications for cultivation." Researchers from CITA in Aragón visit processing companies and nurseries, and carry out a series of training workshops in sensory analysis and truffle conservation, production of truffle products, and pairing of truffles and wines from the area.
