Vietnam's seafood products exported to Switzerland are mainly frozen shrimp and pangasius. The remaining seafood exports include frozen tuna, frozen clams, frozen eel... Of which, frozen shrimp accounted for 80.8%; Frozen pangasius accounted for 17.4% of total seafood export value to Switzerland. According to the Import-Export Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade), Switzerland is a potential seafood export market of Vietnam. Although the area and population are not high, Switzerland is a country with a developed economy. Meanwhile, the domestic seafood supply only meets about 12% of the consumption demand, so this market has to depend mainly on imported seafood. Every year, Switzerland imports about 75,000 tons of fish and over 115,000 tons of shrimp.
