Both sides unanimously agreed that China and Japan have a solid cooperation foundation and broad cooperation space in the fisheries sector, that conserving East China Sea fisheries resources is a shared responsibility, and that maintaining close communication, strengthening dialogue and exchange, and enhancing mutual understanding and trust are necessary. Both sides will use this dialogue as an opportunity to further deepen cooperation foundations, expand cooperation fields, and promote healthy development of China-Japan fisheries and sustainable utilization of East China Sea fisheries resources.
