The article reports that exports of cereals, pulses, oilseeds, and products from Southeastern Anatolia surpassed $1 billion in the first four months of the year, marking a 15.5% increase in April compared to the same period in 2022. Despite this, overall exports for the first four months saw a decrease of 5.6% due to a drop in other categories. The region's pasta, wheat flour, semolina, and bulgur exports exceeded 150 thousand tons in April, and there has been a notable increase in vegetable oil exports. Sugar, sugar products, cocoa products, biscuits, and cakes exports reached 70 thousand tons, with the total return to the region approaching $200 million. The Southeastern Anatolian Cereals, Pulses, Oilseeds and Products Exporters' Association is planning to increase the efficiency of member companies and strengthen international cooperation.
