Indonesia is projected to be rice self-sufficient until 2026, according to the country's Coordinating Minister for Food, Zulkifli Hasan. This optimism is attributed to the country's adequate rice stock and the success of the Indonesia Planting Movement. The Ministry of Agriculture's promotion of this movement is a key factor in this projection. Meanwhile, the Minister of Agriculture aims to plant rice on 1.3 million hectares this April, with expectations to produce 7.5 million tons of rice.
