Sunat: exports of perishables from Puno to Bolivia grew 2,400% from May to August

The National Superintendency of Customs and Tax Administration (Sunat) reported a significant rebound in formal exports from Puno to Bolivia, especially perishable products, which increased by 2,400% from May to August. As explained by the institution, with the beginning of the state of emergency, the Customs Administration of Puno coordinated with the National Customs of Bolivia to facilitate the procedures of foreign trade users and promote formal and safe commercial operations between both countries. Thanks to this, merchants in this southern part of the country opted to regularize their activities to export their products to Bolivia, which contributes to reactivate the economy of that region.
