The National Crop Species Bank, known as "Taiwan's Noah's Ark of Crops", is celebrating its 30th anniversary and has collected and preserved over 100,000 copies of seed varieties. However, the fertility of these seeds declines over time and they need to be regularly updated. The Council of Agriculture has promised to launch the "Next Generation Seed Original Ark Project" and inject 500 million yuan over the next 10 years to support the renewal and preservation of seed originals for future generations.
