The European Union (EU) informed the Brazilian Government this Monday of its decision to reinstate the health pre-selection system, which allows Brazil to indicate the establishments authorized to export poultry meat and eggs to the European bloc and facilitates shipments, official sources reported. The so-called pre-listing had been suspended in 2018 and its reinstatement ends the negotiations through which Brazil committed to adopting the same criteria used by the European Union to define the establishments in adequate sanitary conditions for export to the EU. The decision was officially communicated to Brazil's Ministry of Agriculture, which described the measure as a decisive step to increase the predictability and speed of enabling new plants, this ministry reported in a statement.
